Tri County Surveying was founded in 1971 by Edmund Farkas after he obtained his professional surveyor’s license. Prior to obtaining his license, Mr. Farkas worked as a party chief on pipeline projects throughout the country. With his knowledge of pipeline surveying, Mr. Farkas diversified his operations and was awarded contracts from various large pipeline companies. In 1985, the company’s name was changed to Trico Surveying and Mapping to reflect the nationwide scope of its business.
In 2005 Mr. Farkas’ son, Dennis Farkas, began serving as president. Dennis has been actively involved with Trico for over 25 years. The fundamental goals that Mr. Farkas had for Trico in the 1970’s have not changed—cost effective, quality services by hard working, quality employees that understand and serve the needs of the client.
Situated in the Midwest, Trico is able to quickly respond to projects around the country and has experience working in all regions of the United States. Headquartered in a small town, Trico is able to keep its overhead cost at a minimum in order to offer highly competitive prices without sacrificing quality for its clients.
