While Trico focuses primarily on pipeline surveys throughout the United States, we are licensed and available for many other types of surveys. Among the most common are:
Boundary Surveys
Trico locates all existing monumentation to the subject property then sets corners and/or marks property lines as described in the recorded legal description
Topographic Surveys
Trico locates all existing features such as buildings, improvements, fences, trees, streams, elevations, etc. A detailed plan is provided showing all existing structures and contour elevations presentable to field personnel, developers, contractors, etc.
Site Plan Surveys
Incorporating both boundary survey and topographic survey, this site plan is used for easier planning of future improvements or development. A detailed plan is provided by Trico showing all existing structures in relation to the property line.
Subdivision or Partition Surveys
The division of larger tracts of land into smaller tracts. Plat and legal descriptions furnished by Trico.
Control Surveys
Trico uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to precisely locate horizontal and vertical positions of points for use in boundary determination, mapping, aerial photographs, construction staking and various related purposes.
Construction Surveys
Trico can stake or locate pre-determined locations from plans involving improvements for roads, buildings, pipelines, etc.
ALTA Surveys
American Land Title Association (ALTA) and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) have jointly developed a set of land surveying standards, with the goal of promoting uniformity in survey information.
An ALTA survey is a boundary survey prepared to a set of minimum standards that have been jointly prepared and adopted by the ALTA/ACSM. Additionally, an ALTA survey shows improvements, easements, rights-of-way, and other elements impacting the ownership of land. An ALTA Survey is often prepared for commercial properties, as it will provide the title company with the information required to insure the title to the land and improvements to the high degree that a commercial development may require.
